Plant growth regulating activity of 2-n-alkyl-5-chlorphenoxyacetic acids

Plant growth regulating activity of 2-n-alkyl-5-chlorphenoxyacetic acids

Indian Journal of Experimental Biology 12(1): 105-106

ISSN/ISBN: 0019-5189

The auxin activity of 2-n-alkyl-5-chlorophenoxyacetic acids was compared with that of MCPA by using Brassica campestris root-growth inhibition rest, pea split stem curvature test and wheat curvature test. The growth regulating activity of MCPA was decreased by the introduction of an n-alkyl chain at position C-6.
