Plantation crop by-products for growing pigs

The by-products were pyrethrum marc, cocoa pod meal and dried coffee pulp. Pyrethrum marc 10 or 25% in place of the same amount of sorghum meal, 87.5% in the basal ration, reduced daily gain of pigs from 429 g to 368 and 278 g, and efficiency from 4.3 kg/kg gained to 4.4 and 5.6 kg/kg. Cocoa pod meal 40% to replace half the 80% sorghum in the second trial reduced gain from 459 to 223 g and efficiency from 3.1 to 6.1 kg/kg.
