In field trials, effects of the application of various rates of N and P and different soil moisture regimes on K uptake by wheat, barley, mung peas and cowpeas grown on sandy loam soil containing low amount of N (106.7 kg/ha), medium of available P2O5 (12.4 kg) and high of available K2O (567 kg) were determined. The interaction between soil moisture regimes and N and P rates showed an absence of competition between N, P and K uptake.
