2. On the day before the end of the experiment described in part 1, 5 male and 5 female ducks of each group got intraperitoneally 2.5 mu Ci 131I as NaI and were killed 24 h later. Weights of thyroid were 191 g with soya bean oilmeal and 762.8 with ensiled, 412 with heat-treated and 474.6 mg with untreated rapeseed oilmeal; weights of liver were 60.43, 64.12, 69.38 and 65.28 g. Accumulation of 131I as percentage of the amount given was 70.30, 58.17, 35.52 and 48.43.
