The relationship between fodder digestibility, liveweight and intake was studied in cattle with liveweights in the range 195-371 kg fed oat fodder with in vivo digestibilities of 63-85%. Intake ranged from 3.70 to 8.38 kg OM/day. Correlation analysis between liveweight and intake gave R2 = 0.66 with a coefficient of variation of 14%.
