Preliminary screening of oestrogenic activity in immature and mature green maize fodder

Preliminary screening of oestrogenic activity in immature and mature green maize fodder

Pakistan Journal of Agricultural Sciences 11(3/4): 214-220

ISSN/ISBN: 0552-9034

In trials in Pakistan in 1973, extracts from immature and mature maize forage, harvested in July and Nov., respectively, possessed oestrogenic activity equivalent to 1.43 and 2.38 mu g of diethylstilboestrol/100 g dried fodder, respectively.
