Production costs and the resource base for U.S. agriculture

Production costs and the resource base for U.S. agriculture

Special Report, Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station (183): 12-17

A few of the main problems involved in agricultural costs are discussed. A few cost estimates are presented but most of the paper is devoted to a discussion of cost concepts and implications. The emphasis is on the cost of crop production rather than livestock. Some aspects of the US agricultural resource base are also briefly discussed.
