Studies on growth and biomass production by mixed cultures of amylolytic yeasts (Endomycopsis fibuligera, E. capsularis or Schwanniomyces alluvius) with Candida utilis or Rhodotorula gracilis on a dextrinized cassava medium are described. Effects of N, P and Mg supplements were studied. Tables are given for yields of DM and protein. The highest protein concentration in the biomass (56.7%) was achieved with C. utilis + E. fibuligera, on a medium supplemented with urea 3.0 g/litre.
