Reaction of experimental greenhouse tomato hybrids to Meloidogyne hapla, M. incognita, and M. incognita acrita

Experimental tomato hybrids resistant to Meloidogyne incognita were inoculated with larvae of M. hapla, M. incognita or M. incognita acrita in growth chambers at different temperatures. At 26 deg C, galling by M. hapla was moderate and was very slight with the other species although larvae freely invaded the root tips and caused necrosis. At 32 deg C, root gall indices were lower with M. hapla but higher with M. incognita and M. incognita acrita.
