Fenitrothion, malathion, tetrachlorvinphos (Gardona) and iodofenphos were tested in the laboratory in India for their effectiveness in protecting stored grain against Sitophilus oryzae (L.). From the results, details of which are given in tables, fenitrothion was observed to give the best protection, followed by malathion and tetrachlorvinphos, while iodofenphos was considerably less effective.
