Research into determination of residues of fenoprop in paddy rice

Research into determination of residues of fenoprop in paddy rice

Riso 24(3): 231-237

After a review of works on the metabolism of phenoxy herbicides a method is described for identification of 2(2,4,5-T)p and its by-products in rice. Using g.l.c. a 75% recovery is obtained and the limit of detection is 0.001 ppm. By this method the presence of the herbicide in rice has been demonstrated at levels ranging from 0.002 to 0.3 ppm. some months after treatment.
