Resistance to Exserohilum turcicum in sorghum

Among the sorghum lines evaluated, TAM2572 was free from infection or highly resistant to E. turcicum (Trichometasphaeria turcica) in field tests in Texas and Mexico. TAM2572 is a temperate derivative of the foreign variety IS3758. Artificial inoculation tests in the greenhouse confirmed the resistance of TAM2572 and also showed that the F1 of ATx3197 X TAM2572 is resistant.
