Ten of 320 random clones of Populus deltoides originating from stands along the Mississippi River between latitudes 34 deg 55'N and 33 deg 45'N. were resistant to leaf spot caused by Septoria musiva when grown in a nursery near Greenville, Mississippi. None of 1120 random clones originating from stands between latitudes 33 deg 35'N. and 30 deg 30'N. was resistant.
