Resistance to Trypanosoma cruzi in inbred strains of mice

Resistance to Trypanosoma cruzi in inbred strains of mice

Abstracts of papers read at the 5th International Congress on Protozoology, New York City, 26 June 2 July, 1977: 174

Inbred mice of 15 strains were infected with trypomastigotes of the Brazil strain of Trypanosoma cruzi. "Resistant" strains, such as C57BL/10, when challenged with 104 trypomastigotes developed a transitory low parasitaemia (<106 parasites/ml) but usually survived.
