Of 44 vars., 2 were resistant and 1 very resistant to I. griseola.When this last var., Caraota 260, was crossed with the very susceptible Venezuela 350, resistance to the most pathogenic local isolate proved to be controlled by a single recessive gene. Of 44 varieties, two were resistant and one, very resistant.
