Resistance to decay of Spruce wood stored in the open

Resistance to decay of Spruce wood stored in the open

Gorskostopanska Nauka 12(5): 82-88

Laboratory tests were made of the resistance of wood of Picea abies, freshly felled or after storage under cover in the open in the form of boards for 3, 5 and 10 years, to decay by a strain of Coniophora cerebella. The wood samples were exposed to the fungus for 90 days at 20-22 deg C and r.h. 60-70%.
