Resistance to the Angoumois grain moth in some varieties of rough rice from the USDA World Collection



Journal of Economic Entomology 70(6): 753-754



Rice grain from 111 varieties from the United States Department of Agriculture World Collection appeared to be resistant to Sitotroga cerealella (Ol.) in an unreplicated screening study previously carried out in the USA. In subsequent studies in Beaumont, Texas, in 1974-75, these varieties were propagated and used in replicated tests.
