Resistance to wheat curl mite, Aceria tulipae Keifer, in rye and wheat-rye addition lines

Resistance to wheat curl mite, Aceria tulipae Keifer, in rye and wheat-rye addition lines

Environmental Entomology 4(3): 523-526

Ten out of 20 rye varieties were free from A. tulipae after being manually infested. King II and Dakold were among those free from infestation. Eight rye varieties, seven of which were included in the above test, were exposed to heavily infested wheat leaf clippings. Under these conditions, the rye varieties were more susceptible than when manually infested. Three series of wheat-rye addition lines were manually infested.
