Resource allocation and choice of enterprise under risk on cotton farms in North-east Brazil

Resource allocation and choice of enterprise under risk on cotton farms in North-east Brazil

Dissertation Abstracts International, A 38(11): p.6842

Optimum resource allocation and enterprise combinations are determined, taking into account the risk associated with product price and yield variation, on large sharecropped cotton farms in the semi-arid Northeast Brazil. Other objectives were to analyze the risk associated with different enterprise combinations and to compare the riskiness of sharecropped and owner-operated activities.
