Uzbekskii Biologicheskii Zhurnal (1): 20-22



Respiration intensity in fruiting organs of cotton and age specificity of their respiratory gas exchange were investigated. The respiration intensity in young growing ovaries was high and decreased with age. The respiratory quotient increased in the growing fruiting organs. The respiration intensity in shedding organs increased initially and thereafter sharply declined.
