Respiration of root cells in maize during the slowing of root growth caused by low temperature

Respiration of root cells in maize during the slowing of root growth caused by low temperature

Fiziologiya Rastenii 22(3): 591-597

The root growth of maize seedlings was 3-6 times faster at 27 deg C than at 10 deg and respiration intensity was considerably higher in the meristemic, cell elongation and cell differentiation root zones.
