Response of 'Thompson Seedless' grapevines to the timing of preharvest irrigation cut-off



American Journal of Enology and Viticulture 26(4): 188-194



Results from a fine sandy soil were studied for 5 years and those from a sandy soil for 1 year, irrigation having ceased in early July or early August. Total fruit yields were not affected by cut-off time but July cut-off reduced shoot growth and (especially in the sand) berry size.
