Response of 21 oat cultivars to nitrogen fertilization

Agronomy Journal 68(5): 773-775

In field trials in 1972-4 on a soil with 40-50 kg available N/ha, plant height, lodging score, grain protein content and yield were higher and test weight lower in 21 oat cultivars given 110 kg N/ha than without added N. Earing date and seed weight were not affected.
