Response of Pennisetum pedicellatum to nitrogen levels

Trials of three varieties at five levels of N showed that green-herbage and dry-matter yield increased with increasing N up to 150 kg N/ha, as a result of increases in tiller number and height. T10 gave a higher green-fodder yield than T3 and T15.
