Response of Triticum sativum L. lines to prevalent races of Puccinia graminis Pers. f. sp. tritici Erikss. & Henn. identified in San Lorenzo, Piura

Response of Triticum sativum L. lines to prevalent races of Puccinia graminis Pers. f. sp. tritici Erikss. & Henn. identified in San Lorenzo, Piura

Fitopatologia 12(2): 78-81

Races 15B, 17 and 11 occurred on wheat in north Peru at frequencies of 40.6, 31.3 and 15.6%, respectively. By using the differential cultivar Khapli, 15B was separated into 15B1 (9.4%) and 15B2 (31.2%). Of ten lines introduced from Mexico and Colombia, six were highly resistant or immune and two were partly resistant. Races 15 B, 17 and 11 occurred on wheat in N. Peru at frequencies of 40.6, 31.3 and 15.6% respectively.
