Response of apple seedlings to zinc fertilization and mycorrhizal inoculation

Zinc fertilization (5 p.p.m.) of apple seedlings grown in chloropicrin-fumigated soil increased shoot weight slightly and Zn concentration significantly after 70 days. Inoculation of seedlings with vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Glomus mosseae or G. fasciculatus increased shoot weight. Zinc fertilization plus mycorrhizal inoculation increased shoot weight and Zn concentration.
