Response of barley to irrigation and fertilizer



Indian Journal of Agronomy 18(3): 252-256



On a sandy loam soil maximum grain yield was obtained with two irrigations and application of 40 kg N/ha. The grain yield increase was associated with an increase in number of tillers/m2 and total grain weight/m2. In the absence of N irrigation alone increased grain yield by 16.33 to 41.52%.
