Response of berseem to liming and different intervals of cutting

In trials with berseem on lateritic acid soil (pH 5.2) given 15 t f.y.m. + 67.5 kg P2O5/ha, the application of 2.87 and 5.75 t CaCO3 equivalence/ha (50 and 100% of lime requirements, respectively) gave fresh fodder yields of 29 and 42 t/ha, respectively, compared with 21 t/ha without lime.
