Response of brown and rainbow trout to infection with a new rhabdovirus

Response of brown and rainbow trout to infection with a new rhabdovirus

Comptes Rendus Hebdomadaires des Seances de l' Academie des Sciences 284D(5): 401-404

I/p injection of trout weighing 200 g with 2 X 108 PFU of rhabdovirus strain "23-75" induced interferon synthesis in two days; 11 of 15 rainbow trout and 6 of 15 brown trout died in five weeks.
