Response of cotton to row patterns and plant populations

Response of cotton to row patterns and plant populations

Agronomy Journal 68(1): 85-88

In 1971-3, cotton Coker 310, was sown in conventional rows 91.4 cm apart, in 4 rows 40.6 cm apart on a 182.9-cm-wide bed and in twin rows 25.4 cm apart on a 91.4-cm-wide bed. The normal spacing gave 107 489 plants/ha and the narrow row variants were sown at 214 977, 286 636 and 358 295 plants/ha.
