Response of developing ethephon-induced fruits of 'Sugarloaf' pineapple to some growth regulators

GA3 at 500 or 1000 mg/litre, or NAA at 200 or 300 mg/litre, or GA3 + NAA at 250 + 100 mg/litre or 500 + 150 mg/litre applied to developing ethephon-induced Sugarloaf pineapple fruits significantly delayed fruit maturity, increased fruit weight and length, produced a deeper yellow fruit juice and increased slip production. GA3 increased TSS but had no effect on crown size. NAA alone or in combination with GA3 reduced both TSS and crown size.
