Response of different bajra hybrids to nitrogen

Increasing the N rates from 0 to 120 kg/ha applied in addition to PK to 4 bajra (Pennisetum americanum) cultivars increased average grain yields from 1.95 to 3.3 t/ha; further increases in N rates decreased yields. Hybrid HB-3 gave the highest average yield of 3 t/ha.
