Response of dwarf wheats (Triticum aestivum L.) to graded doses of nitrogen

Response of dwarf wheats (Triticum aestivum L.) to graded doses of nitrogen

Haryana Agricultural University Journal of Research 5(3): 209-215

In field trials in 1969-70, dwarf wheat Kalyan Sona, EA-222-1 and U.P.301, and in 1970-1 Kalyan Sona, HD-1941 and HD-1949, were grown under 6 different fertilizer regimes with 0-200 kg N/ha and 75 kg P2O5/ha on sandy loam soils at Hissar. In both years Kalyan Sona showed the highest response to 120 kg N/ha but yields were relatively low as a result of lodging.
