Response of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) to irrigation

During the 'rabi' season, on a sandy loam at Chiplima, plant growth, nodulation, effective pegging and yield decreased with decreasing frequency of irrigation. Highest pod yield was obtained with irrigation at 25% depletion of water. Irrigation at 75% depletion resulted in a sharp yield decrease.
