Response of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) to season, farmyard manure and nitrogen

Groundnuts grown in 1964-7 gave higher yields of unshelled nuts (2.53-3.17 t/ha) in the rabi season than in the kharif season and showed no response to 12.6 t f.y.m. and/or 11.2-33.6 kg N/ha applied in addition to a basal dressing of 34 kg P2O5 + 50 kg K2O/ha.
