Response of groundnut variety TMV2 to rhizobial inoculation

4 strains of Rhizobium, GN-2, 402-A, 402-B and 403-C, were tested for their efficiency on groundnut TMV2 in pot trials and also in field trials at Rajendranagar, GN-2 also being used as a peat based culture (GNP-2) in the latter. Strain 402-B was the most effective and significantly increased yields, N content and total N uptake in groundnut.
