Response of high yielding wheat and rice varieties to micronutrients in alluvial soils of U.P

In trials in 1967-71 with wheat and rice on alluvial soil at 2 locations in Uttar Pradesh, 2 foliar applications of Mn, Zn, Cu, B, Mo, Fe, or all trace elements in addition the basal dressing of 120 kg N + 60 kg P2O5 + 60 kg K20/ha had no effect on grain yields of wheat; 0.5% ZnSO4 increased paddy yields of rice at both locations and Mo increased them at 1 location.
