Response of inland coconuts to inorganic fertilization from field planting

Palms fertilized with KCl and either N or NP produced more vigorous plants, as well as more nuts with thicker meat and more copra per tree in the first two years of bearing, compared to palms not receiving KCl. Correlations between foliar nutrient contents and production indicated that on the reddish-brown clay loam soil of Davao, coconuts responded only to N and Cl.
