Response of mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek var. radiata) and soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) to increasing plant density



Journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science 100(5): 579-583



The performance of mung bean Thai Green Oil was compared with soyabean Hsih-Hsih over a range of 12 plant densities from 10 000 to 800 000 plants/ha. Increasing plant density was positively related to yield and plant height and negatively related with significant reduction in flowering, yield/plant and plant branching.
