Response of nodulating and non-nodulating soybean isolines to applied nitrogen

In plot trials in 1971-2, nodulating and non-nodulating isolines of soyabeans Lee were given N at 0, 50, 100, 200 or 400 lb/ac. Seed yields showed increases for all N rates, with nodulating and non-nodulating lines giving similar yields at 200 lb N/ac in 1971 and 400 lb N/ac in 1972.
