Response of radish to high CO2

Response of radish to high CO2

HortScience 10(3): 274-275

The growth of both plant tops and roots of radish Cherry Belle was increased under elevated CO2 conditions (1200 p.p.m.) in plastic, environmentally-controlled growth chambers. The root-shoot ratio was also favourably influenced by CO2 enrichment, compared with controls at 400 p.p.m.
