Response of rice (variety IR-8) to zinc as affected by levels of phosphate fertilizers

Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 13(2): 117-122

In a pot trial on Vellayani Kayal soil, rice IR8 was given all combinations of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 kg P2O5/ha and 0, 25 and 50 kg ZnSO4/ha. Yields of paddy and straw were increased by the application of both Zn and P. At higher doses of P, paddy yield decreased slightly.
