Response of rice cultivar CICA-6 to different levels of NPK in soil with low fertility

In field trials in the Rio Hato area on an infertile soil, rice CICA-6 was given 131.5 kg N + 95 kg P2O5 + 31.8 kg K2O/ha or 220.5 kg N + 136.4 kg P2O5 + 45.5 kg K2O/ha with or without S or trace elements applied as a foliar feed. Grain yields were 2.97 t/ha with the lower NPK rate and 2.49 t with the higher.
