Response of rice to different seed rates and methods of seeding under rainfed conditions

Response of rice to different seed rates and methods of seeding under rainfed conditions

Oryza 12(2): 69-72

In trials in 1973-4 under rain-fed conditions in Uttar Pradesh, rice Cauvery sown broadcast at 44-132 kg seeds/ha or drilled at 33-77 kg seeds/ha gave the highest av. paddy yields of 4.13 t/ha with 110 kg seeds/ha when sown broadcast and 4.05 t/ha with 77 kg seeds/ha when drilled.
