In trials at 2 locations in Uzbekistan, Verticillium dahliae infection was 33-90% on susceptible cotton 108-F and 8-15% on resistant AN-401 and Tashkent-3. Withholding irrigation at the bud formation stage had no effect on yields of 108-F and AN-401, but decreased yields of Tashkent-3; it decreased fibre strength in 108-F.
