Response of some wheat and barley varieties to attack of yellow rust

From a study with two varieties of wheat and four varieties of barley, it is concluded that it is not possible to predict significant varietal differences in the degree of susceptibility to Puccinia striiformis under field conditions by means of seedling tests with one uredospore generation.
