Reviewing agricultural research programmes

In many countries, the objectives and achievements of agricultural research institutes or organizations are critically reviewed every five or six years by an external review committee. This committee or panel is usually selected and appointed by the organization (e.g. the central Government, the UN organization or the private foundation) that provides all or part of the financial funds of the research institute.
