Root system of the apple cultivar Aport in relation to different types of dwarfing rootstock

Root system of the apple cultivar Aport in relation to different types of dwarfing rootstock

Vestnik S Kh Nauki Kazakhstana 6: 57-60

Studies were carried out on Aport trees growing on soil with light subsoil. Roots of trees grafted on M.9 and Malus sieversii grew down to 4 and 8.6 m, respectively. The main root mass was found at 100 - 200 cm depths in a 2 m radius from the trunk.
