Rust fungi attacking smooth-stalked meadow-grass, Poa pratensis

Weibulls Gras tips 20: 3-7

In 1976 and 1977 infection by Puccinia striiformis, P. brachypodii var. poae-nemoralis and P. poarum was observed on plots of Poa pratensis in lawn trials at Landskrona. In an assessment of cvs there were considerable variations in resistance to the 3 species. The Geronimo was very sensitive to P. brachypodii but resistant to P. striiformis whereas Sydsport showed good tolerance to P. poarum and P. brachypodii but was sensitive to P. striiformis.
