Kew had 27.85-89.5% fertile pollen and Queen had 37.17-60.54%; Kew had larger pollen and more varied in size. Only in Queen did spraying with NAA result in any seeds setting. In crosses between the varieties, 39.09% of bold seeds were formed when Kew was the female parent and 73.88% when Queen was the female parent.
